Fish & Chips are a national icon, but unfortunately they can't be enjoyed by all. Anchor Seafry in medway is hoping to make that a thing of the past by introducing gluten free fish and chips. We initially tried the gluten free option on Tuesday evening, after a customer with coeliac disease asked if we could consider the idea as he loves fish an chips. We also offer oven baked cod every day which contains no batter mix and is free from gluten, wheat and free from dairy product.
"This is great news for local coeliacs and another day for all regular customers to enjoy our traditional fish and chips."
"One in every 100 people in the UK has coeliac disease, which is caused by intolerance to eating gluten. Eating out can be a real challenge."
Gluten-free fish and chips are served on Tuesday evening from 4.30pm to 9.30pm, and our baked fish is available on a daily basis.
Anchor Seafry Fish & chips are made from high quality ingredients from suppliers they know and trust. Prime cuts of fish are sourced from well-managed stocks and the best Maris Piper potatoes are freshly peeled and chipped at their shops every day. |
